I bought inexpensive acrylic yarn to try to see what weaving a baby blanket would be like.  This is about as big (wide) as I can get on my rigid heddle loom.

Navy/Gray Lap Blanket

What will probably be the last of a series of these, each one I got a little better at the details and it made it easier to weave these.

Phillies Lap Blanket

I figured out that it is best to not use varigated yard and stick with the stripes.  Thi was the best one to that point.

First Lap Blanket

I went into this not knowing what to expect as I was expanding the size of what I was weaving as will as trying some big acrylic varigated yarn from Michaels that Sam loved.  It's kind of a mutt by Sam says she loves it and uses it regularly.
